So today, I (a fairly inexperienced bread baker so far) started to make some sandwich bread. Everything went along just fine, and I got to the part where you put the two pieces of dough into the pans in which they are going to be baked to let them rise until ready for baking. Then I left to go to lunch. When I got back, they had been rising for a little too long, and they were oozing over the side of the loaf pans. Oh, crap. So I punched them down and resigned myself to the fact that I could either reroll the loaves, or just bake misshapen loaves for this time and vow to do better. I chose the latter, and they are happily baking away as we speak. UPDATE: The Bread was really good. Typical white bread with a really thick feel. Micah |
