Our 30 gallons of beer for this years Febtoberfest went off fantastic. The porter, which is the same recipe I've used for years, turned out unbelievable this year. Nice toasted flavor with chocalatey overtones and a smooth finish. The blond also turned out fantastic, and Josh Hanson has dubbed it the "Solid Gold" blonde. The amber turned out good, but I'm not a fan of the esthery overtones akin to scotch ale that came out in the finished product. Still, the crowd was pleased, and the beer was called "delicious" in the Party Crasher column in seattle's own Stranger Newspaper.
